Hall of Heroes

Postby WintermuteX » Mon Jun 16, 2014 5:14 pm

Does anyone happen to have solved the riddle? I can't figure it out. I found the scrolls in the gorge and I tried to set the colors accordingly but after fiddling around for an hour I really have no idea any more. Could someone provide screenies or further tips?

If you have all the scrolls it should be quite easy. Pay attention to the statues more than the description. And remember that the Titan one is one of the statues of the riddle.

Well it starts with the kings. I happen to only find 3 statues with a crown, it seems I don't recognize the 4th crown as such. Also is the statue holding the helmet in the hand a commander as he don't hold a weapon? Your suggestion to ignore the text would imply this ... but I'm not sure. I like riddles, but my problem here is that I seem to have problems to recognize the statues accordingly. For instance is the statue with the two-handed sword and the crown a king or one of those who fought the ogres with a two-handed weapon. I'm sure it's a king, because I can't find the 4th king and if this isn't a king, then I'm completely lost because then I can't recognize two crowns. ;)
I stopped playing for now as I'm stuck here.

It is a bit ambiguous, otherwise it would be too easy, you have to pay attention to everything. The King's note says:
"Without a doubt, of all the heroes, the four kings were the grandest and most important. Their leadership was vital to victory. Their crowns bore red rubies that shined with burning intensity."

So first, locate the four kings by their crowns (independently of what the other notes says) and set them. And go on... ;)

Well, as I wrote: I can't recognize the 4th crown. Everything else looks like helmets to me. The 3 kings I found are near to each other in approximately the center ... The titan was easy, no problem there, also the 3 kings. And one of the two peaceful guys is also easy found, the second one should be the one with the staff near two of the three kings I found. But well, after that it comes to guessing what might be the 4th crown for instance.

Really ... that Daniel the Giant Killer (Text made small as it is a spoiler) wears a crown needs some fantasy for me. o.O

Btw: The forum could need a spoiler command tag. ;)

Here goes the big spoiler for people which also had problems, maybe with the same statue, maybe with another. I start from south-east, going up a line of statues (to the north-west) and from left to right:

(to read mark the text and copy & paste it to notepad)

Dommasear - Yellow
Kibula - Yellow

Neyla - Green
George - Green
Kariane - Yellow
Zaruk - Green
Arquino - Green

Kariham - Red
Felicitas - Red
Douglas - Red

Kronante - Red

Unnamed - Green ("The flames of war consumed everything")
Forwok - Yellow
Cadfael - Red
Daniel - Red

Ritechezfire - Green
Arkay - Red
Julien - Green
Paxvari - Yellow

Nargok - Yellow
Kaiser - Green

Between the crowns, statue descriptions, and types/absences of weapons, it's pretty clear what has to be done once all the scrolls are collected.

On a related Hall of Heroes note, I found the last part of the description for the "Julien, the Lady of Sporia" statue amusing, and it read as follows:
"But the ogres opted for the more direct path and fell to the wrath of those terrible creatures, that still stand guard in Sporia Meadow."
 Not any more.
