[SOLVED] Couple of small bugs

Postby ValadursErbe » Wed Jun 11, 2014 6:55 pm

- encountered a few graphical glitches were objects were "cut off" by walls. See screenshot below from the upper left corner of the first Prince´s castle, and from a tomb (don´t remember which one, there were lots of switches in there).
- Sometimes, if I don´t learn a skill and therefore skill level = 0, it will still show in the character screen. Example: my level 5 soldier has "fast reflexes" at skill level 0 shown in his skills tab. Other skills at level 0 are not shown.
- The heralds of Yul appear to be left-handed on the map screen and right-handed in battle (they hold their weapon with different hands).
- If I throw cereal plants into the soul well, the message box pops up and tells me that I earned 20 experience points. However, no text message appears in the upper right corner and I do not get any experience. In general, the amount of experience shown in the message boxes and in the upper right corner seem to be different.
- The colored liquids behind the first herald of Yul: I have great troubles clicking on them. The cursor does not change into the interaction command when I get too close and only stays so for a split second.
- I have accumulated a lot of spores(126) but if I sell them all at once I only get the money for a single spore.
- In the tombs scattered around the world: sometimes it gets totally dark (black) without a torch. It seems that the night from the outdoor region is applied here as well, making the tombs extra-dark.
- It appears that the soldier class has to pay double the amount at the temple than the explorer (encountered this when Gaulen and the soldier were cursed by hounds)
- Although Karraga is a high plateau, you can stand at the ocean up in the north area. This makes Karraga not a plateau but also barely above sea level?
- It appears that armour with the prefix "silver" have better stats than "gold" armour. Gold armour has a higher level (more stars in the item description) but the stats are worse.

Shhhh, that's a trade secret :P

I think I follow your reasoning. It is both intended and logical for the Mausoleums to be darker, however.

- It appears that the soldier class has to pay double the amount at the temple than the explorer (encountered this when Gaulen and the soldier were cursed by hounds)

Specifically for a Curse Purification? Can you remember if your Explorer and Soldier were both afflicted by the exact same curse?

- Although Karraga is a high plateau, you can stand at the ocean up in the north area. This makes Karraga not a plateau but also barely above sea level?

The path leading down to the ocean shore is a slope, and the angle makes it a bit hard to tell. Kind of like how, in the Infinity Engine (Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale...) different levels of elevation could sometimes be tough to tell from one another (think of various sets of stairs in the Slums of Athkatla). That said, we hear you and will be extra conscious of those details when designing landscapes.

Thank you for your other points, things like environment object accessibility, reward+tooltip inconsistencies and item stat polish will make it in the next update.

Fixed in the next version.

Fixed in the next version. It happened when you give one point and the remove it in the Level Up Window.

That was fixed in previous versions. Have you tried with the new one?

All the tombs are 100% dark as they are underground. Exploring the tombs requires torches or magic light.

The price does not depend on the class but in the level of the character (more level more expensive).

ValadursErbe wrote:- Although Karraga is a high plateau, you can stand at the ocean up in the north area. This makes Karraga not a plateau but also barely above sea level?

The idea is was that that small path that leads to the sea was descending to the sea level, but as it is small and goes to the North (up) the effect is not visible. ;)

if it is the same armor type (Plate Armor > Scale Armor > Vest > Suit) and there is no enchantment (some of them increases the armor value), then, always Golden Items are better than Silver Items. Anyway we are going to check the names to make them less confusing.

Thanks for the feedback ValadursErbe, keep going!
